Yesterday I made great choices, today I failed.
Since I was kind of a party pooper yesterday, and because I start a new job next week and won’t have the chance to go to lunch with Work BFF anymore, we decided to go out today. The choices were narrowed down to sushi or Applebee’s. She chose Applebee’s. (but I could have easily insisted on sushi)
I knew exactly what I wanted: Chicken Fajita Roll-Up with Fries.
Waitress asked if I was okay with fries. I said YES.
I LOVE FRIES.
I drank water. But I took in about 764 calories during this meal. And that’s not counting ketchup. And I knew I would be going out tonight for drinks with my neighbor and his wife. Sigh. Why, oh why, do I do this.
Ya know what though? I don’t care. Because my word of the week lately is “balance.” I ate a bad-for-you lunch today, but tomorrow I’m going snowboarding up in the mountains. I will burn a ton of calories doing this. And I will make smart choices for the rest of the day, and get right back on the horse.
42 days till Christmas, ya’ll!
39 days till I go back to my hometown and I’d like to look goooood.
Path to success: 1 day a week to F up. Today was that day.
Path to success: No Diet soda till after Christmas. (maybe longer, but that’s scary right now)
I can do it!
