went into the cupboard looking for PAM and found a whole shelf of junk food at the boy’s place. including three unopened bags of chips and a number of gummy variations.
(aside: it’s funny how he can have that stuff around and enjoy in moderation and i could never have a shelf like that in my place. even if i was able to resist for a few days or weeks, there would come a time where i’d binge and eat everything that’s there.)
i just keep repeating the mantra in my head.
“nothing tastes better than slim. nothing tastes better than slim…”
I got married last summer. And I must say, one of the trickiest parts of being married has been dealing with a boy’s food needs! My husband stocks our pantry with Oreos, candy of all sorts, various bags of chips, ice cream, popsicles, soda, beer…the works. Funny you mentioned that your boyfriend can enjoy his treats in moderation. My husband enjoys his treats in excess. He is not overweight. Maybe has only 5 pounds to lose. But he eats whatever he wants. Every morning he enjoys a bowl of sugary cereal intended for kids…like Lucky Charms, Corn Pops, or Smacks. I’ve encouraged him to eat bad foods in moderation, and have been successful at introducing healthy foods to his diet. But WOW it is quite the challenge for me to resist all of these devilish foods! I will indulge now and then, but I always have to cut myself off while he continues to binge.
Nothing tastes better than being slim…and HEALTHY. Go ahead and enjoy a bite or two of anything you want, just remember to listen to your body and stop when your tummy says Stop.
